Al Majmaah, KSA, September 8, 2013
An intensive training workshop was held at Al Majmaah University on September 8, 2013, which was designed to provide members of the Saudi Consortium of Academic Libraries information on how best benefit from the university’s digital library and information resources. The course, jointly organized by Naseej – the Arab world's leader in Knowledge Solutions and Services
– and the Saudi Digital Library, was well attended by students and faculty, researchers and staff of the university.
The program featured two lectures detailing the benefits of information resources subscribed to by the university, as well as the cutting-edge professional information resources offered by Naseej, which include books, dissertations and research papers, as well as peer-reviewed journals on subject areas such as healthcare, medicine, computers and technology, and information and knowledge management systems.
In addition, attendees were given a live demonstration of how to conduct a database search using various search options, and how to review the search results and add them to the researcher's list of references. The training sessions produced considerable discussion and useful interactions among the participants.
