The University of Jeddah Sponsors the Launching of Banner 9, in Collaboration with Naseej and Ellucian
?Attended by over 120 faculty and administrative officials, Naseej organized a specialized workshop on the latest version of Ellucians Student Information System (Banner 9). The new version incorporates a more open Hi-tech architecture and offers a rich suite of features, including cutting-edge information intelligence and analytics. Held in Jeddah, on May 4th, 2017, the workshop was sponsored by the University of Jeddah (UJ) and Naseej, in collaboration with Ellusian.
This sponsorship comes from the fact that the University of Jeddah is the first Saudi university to launch the new SIS Banner 9 early 2018.
The workshop was graced by H.E. Dr. Adnan Al-Homaidan UJs vice-president as well as the universitys faculty and administrative staff. The event also witnessed a considerable attendance by IT, admissions and registration professionals in charge of Banner Student management at Saudi universities using Ellucian.
The meeting serves as the first official launch of the latest version of the Banner Student, bringing together the largest number of Banner Student users across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Participants were updated on how to seamlessly migrate to the new version and all related requirements. They had a one-to-one meeting opportunity with the system experts from Naseej and Ellucian.
The meeting also enabled IT staff and the Deanships of Admission and Registration at Saudi universities using Banner to learn more about the features of the registration subsystem and its modules available in the latest version of Banner Student, which should be taken into account to upgrade their current versions. The workshop was designed to help participants plan their upgrade to the new version via sharing planning and transformation resources.
